Inspired by one of the 'recipes' in<a href=""https://anitagraser.com/2018/11/10/my-favorite-new-recipe-in-qgis-map-design-2nd-ed/""> QGIS Map Design 2nd Ed</a>. and a map I found on <a href=""https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/764498484/covent-garden-london-map-art-print-many?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_uk_en_gb_-art_and_collectibles&utm_custom1=444aebe9-46f3-432e-835f-669e524f79cf&utm_content=go_11073922980_109610251118_462914649514_pla-314954651933_c__764498484engb&utm_custom2=11073922980&gclid=Cj0KCQjwk8b7BRCaARIsAARRTL7BgMbQ9JMuVZOVGW2-rSCqAQZL-oY0imkxnoKpz0H729PSHn28dk4aArCsEALw_wcB"">Etsy </a>I set out to make something myself. The result is now the banner image for this site.

The base mapping is OS Open Vector roads and buildings layer

There were quite a few components to bring it together. Overall a fun couple of hours nerding.
